    Try dating a woman

Obviously dating a woman as a gay man would be difficult

  • Just come out as bisexual even if you arent and masculinity stresses like this just evaporate

  • Jim Halpert

I’ve been called zesty but am pretty damn secure with myself

    Explains lots

  • they fooled women into becoming independent workaholics that they are no longer equipped to meet the greatness of what makes the emotional side of this male/female dynamic so great

  • Also i watch alot of documentaries on youtube about psycho dangerous people. Alot of the similarities they have are being hyperfocused on masculinity/testosterone boosting.

Wanting validation from others is a female trait.

Masculinity should never be a prison just based off that

and once again: Who ultimately defines the parameters of what is and what isnt a female trait?

Who ultimately defines what is and isn't a male trait?

Conforming to gender is a prison

I still immensely enjoy presenting masculinity because it’s a choice to me

  • they have you straights in a chokehold lirl. im chillen

  • Scratchin Mamba

It highkey is, in fact male gender roles are more restricted than female gender roles

There's space for girls to act more masculine and for them to still be seen as women, if boys do the same thing they wanna be a girl or they're gay

    Shyt stoopid

Like....some of these replies are proving my point a lot.

I think a lot of the answers to these questions is: "a bunch of westernized patriarchal bullshit"

Because you think about it in places like Italy, you got grown men that will kiss each other on the cheek or even on the lips in strictly platonic fashion and nobody over there bats an eye.

You say good morning to your mans in new york city and niggas will go "ayoooooooo" like...dawg we legit don't even know how to show our own homeboys basic affection.

how many men itt have cried in front of they homeboys
    Oh and extra technicality:
and it's not being around somebody dying or a breakup?

    I disagree with this lol.

Conforming to a gender has nothing to do with what is required of said gender, that's society's fault.

I present masculine because that's what I'm most comfortable in and I don't view how I present as a prison. The same way some others would conform to fem because that's what they feel comfortable in.

The prison is the rules that is set. Gender is just the mortal shell we take before we go out in the world with our shield and sword (Gamer reference wooooooo!)

I’d say history has defined that

Men are biologically stronger and more aggressive and so are designed to be hunter gatherers while women were the caretakers. That naturally defined the traits inherent to masculinity and femininity because those functions are going to warp the personalities of both

And while we don’t have to be hunter gatherers anymore, we still are men and so our interests are going to be more geared around areas where we can use our biology whether that’s sports or building/ fixing s***. All of that has an effect on our personalities and what we are geared towards

    ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh not so fast

as an artist in nyc (so of course I be around folks of every walk of life) that also did go to a liberal arts college, lgtbqia+ got a lot of static too when it comes to masculine vs feminine too

don't think history is a good barometer then cause we've also historically have always had people that chose alternative ways of expressing themselves (e.g. "two-spirit"/every society pre-colonization there are records of people that identify both masculine and feminine traits)

No misogyny but this is what happens when you let women lead the discussion. They don't know wtf they want

Unless you are the literally definition of anti-social, everyone seeks validation to some extent.

Sure but that’s always been a minority

The majority dictates the standard and that’s always been true
