There is a difference between being a good rapper and having good songs. I enjoy her freestyles so that shows she's a good rapper, but her songs are repetitive and boring. This is a songwriting issue. She's not good at it.

She’s mediocre at best. There’s no reason for her to be as big as she is. Without the hot girl summer meme/moment I don’t think she would be this popping. IMO her time is running out.

She is what she is, a "twerk/pop that p****/bounce on the d***" rapper who can make hit singles but doesn't really sell albums and is nowhere near the "next nicki/next queen of rap" hype she initially got. I think Megan Thee Stallion is a phenomenal rapper, she has the slickest flows in the game right now. But I think her subject matter obfuscates how skilled she really is. Because Megan's main subject matter is s***she can be easily dismissed by people as a basic or uninventive rapper. I encourage you to listen her music but do a close listening to her rapping, even bring up genius and read along and you'll notice she's going for real technical stuff in her raps. The Tina Snow EP is an excellent example of this.

She can rap, but her team and probably her just chooses to make more of the same s*** you hear on a mainstream level just to stay relevant. A lot of these artists nowadays need super producers again, not these bedroom producers who have no talent in actually pushing the artist to try many things else. Plus songwriters nowadays are ass, they're just adding onto the mess, so yeah.
