Oct 3, 2021She can actually rap. I do not go out of my way to listen to her music, not really her demographic, however I have heard enough of her music on her come up from women I am friends with, up this point to some up with an honest critique on her.
She has clever lines, she be flowing her ass off, her delivery is solid and matches her punchline heavy verses. She's gotta natural charisma to her that adds more to her raps. As a fan of rap, I cannot deny that she can rap her ass off.
Yes, a lot of her subject matter is the same ass s***, which is why I do not really go out of my way to listen to her newer music. But I am also not gonna sit up here and pretend that a lot of artists don't make the same ass s***, and I'm not gonna act like I don't like it. Rick Ross go crazy.

DemarI think Megan Thee Stallion is a phenomenal rapper, she has the slickest flows in the game right now. But I think her subject matter obfuscates how skilled she really is. Because Megan's main subject matter is s***she can be easily dismissed by people as a basic or uninventive rapper. I encourage you to listen her music but do a close listening to her rapping, even bring up genius and read along and you'll notice she's going for real technical stuff in her raps. The Tina Snow EP is an excellent example of this.
All facts. I was introduced to Meg early on in her career when she was doing her freestyles. Every video my friends put me on to I was impressed. Catchy ass flows, hard-hitting and genuinely witty bars.
I feel like these days it has gotten less clever and more redundant which is why I don't really have much interest in going out of my way to listen to her. But because I know she can rap her ass off I'm genuinely interested in this album she has been making with Q-Tip.
