Don't mean to start no ruckus but if we take a look into MJ's discog, the man has 3 legendary albums out of 10 (obviously Off the Wall, Thriller and Bad). So I was checking the other albums tracklists and there's almost zero known or successful songs. And since y'all seems to like the numbers and the charts let's take a look at each album:
Got to Be There: certified gold on 2013 only.
Ben: top 10 on Billboard 200 but no international success being top 12 in Canada and top 200 in Australia and France.
Music & Me: In his review forAllMusic website, Ron Wiynn wrote that the album's songs "were undistinguished" and that "Jackson sounded tentative and uninterested vocally" he also wrote that "the production and arrangements were routine at best, sometimes inferior."
Forever Michael: Except for the peak position of number 101 on the Billboard 200 and number 10 on the Billboard Top R&B Albums, Forever, Michael failed to chart in other countries. The album was not commercially successful worldwide
Dangerous: probably his best and most successful out of his top 3 but this is understandable since it was right after the boom from his career, but still super below from his early projects. Heal The World and Black And White might be the only songs that most people remember from this.
HIStory: compilation
Invincible: Good sells also because of his name but super forgettable as well.
RIP @op
Off the wall - timeless classic
Thriller - speaks for itself
Bad - timeless classic
Dangerous - classic
HIStory - classic
Jackson 5 catalogue too
Homie been dropping heat since 10 years old, i don't ever wanna see michael jackson and weak in the same sentence
Prince (yes I know Prince has a crazy amount of albums) and Bowie>>> imo
but nah MJ still has higher highs then every artist regardless
discography still amazing
of course the guy isn’t going to be making classic albums as a teenager
everything post Thriller is legendary status s***. And off the wall is clearly a classic also
Off the wall - timeless classic
Thriller - speaks for itself
Bad - timeless classic
Dangerous - classic
HIStory - classic
Jackson 5 catalogue too
Michael Jackson top 3 can beat almost any artist top 3
Thriller, Bad and Dangerous>>>
also Off the wall is underrated af
Also History isn’t a compilation album. The first disc is old throwback songs. The second disc is all original music
Is Michael Jackson's discography weak?
