Next you gonna tell me Poles is the reason Pierre blew up. Lol. I didn’t even know this nigga or 69 had a beat by Pierre until well into Carti’s collaborating with him, and I knew bout Pierre well beforehand thanks to Nudy. Trippie is giving himself too much credit.

how close were they tho? i only know the music not their histories. if they were really close you can sort of see where trippie's coming from. i'm sure there's countless times when a producer charges artists a bit differently. If pierre knows trippie got those kind of budgets then it's fair but it's a bit like how Kanye gave Talib the classic Get By beat for completely free, but I'm sure he was charging Alicia Keys, janet jackson and hov at that time who would have had bigger budgets

"if they were really close you can sort of see where trippie's coming from."

If they aren't cool then that makes sense.

Like it or not Pi'erre came a long way. From sitting in a Mustang while making a beat to hear what the mix would sound like inside of a car to sessions with Kanye and Drake.

Either pay the man or find another producer. Harping at a the price is lame, especially now that we're in the era of producers having a face and personality rather than being shelved in the back and hoed out of rightful money.

Possibly, nonetheless, it goes to show how people can take an inch and turn it into a mile. Whether he hopped on that beat or not I think we all knew where Pierre would end up. This is far less like Metro having Future and Gucci rap on his beats and them genuinely putting the nigga on the map, it’s literally just a matter of circumstances for Trippie and him being fortunate enough to be one of the early niggas to hop on Pierre s***.

yeah 10k is definitely not giving trippie a budget where he can pay 80k for a single beat

i get pierre for charging 80k and im all for it, but you don't charge your homie the same you charge other people

lil baby charges 100k for a feature, but im sure he wont charge Gunna or Keed anything

  • Jun 28, 2020

Also to my knowledge these niggas had smoke why does he think they’re like best buds or something he probably met Pierre less than 10 times irl lol

why does the producer have to get the short end of the stick?

why doesn't trippie pay him MORE since they came up together as he claims

Is trippie trippin and this is a fair price?

Or is pierre switching up on him now that he’s big?

    It's a double edged sword

Trippie's label gonna have a hand in the profits from royalties and can/will short the producer anyway, so since they the one's paying for it, it's fair from P'ierre POV.

That being said, I can understand why an artist would take that personally since they came up together.
