Trippie is not only not his homie but literally stole beats from him to give to other niggas. Lol
i mean im not judging who's who's homie, trippie said he was and thats what i based my post on
that whole gummo s*** was super corny tho, it's pierre's biggest song and he got hella money from it as he asked for more publishing since he didnt f*** with tekashi - bro should be super thankful to trippie for making that happen
well if trippie says he’s the homie, then how about he split all earnings from the song equally with pierre
bet he wouldnt do that
this at the end of the day, very petty to talk about it online to others trying to push a narrative.
No beat is worth 80k but Trippie’s Newport smoke stricken lungs is worth whatever the f*** he’s charging? Stfu boy
Rap is just fortunate that the term “producer” doesn’t have the same connotations as it does in other genres. Where it’s synonymous and the same as just being an artist in that genre and you’re actually the outlier if you don’t produce, like electronic music for example. These rappers wouldn’t exist without the producers, it’s a symbiotic relationship but rappers profit the most cause they’re f***ing parasites and producers are expendable when most niggas make the same s***. So when a nigga like Pierre not only makes a unique sound but is willing to rap on his s*** too, I see why these rap niggas afraid.
No beat on this planet is worth 80k unless I watched one of the GOATS make it with my own two eyes.
thoughts on twitterheads telling lil baby he should charge 200k a verse?

nothing more dangerous than a dude who can do it all himself

A verse is different. A great verse could be worth 200k, but unless I know for a fact you’re not looping some played out sample and you sequenced you’re own drums, I’m not paying you jack s***
why does the producer have to get the short end of the stick?
why doesn't trippie pay him MORE since they came up together as he claims
if they're homies im sure pierre is aware that trippies label isnt giving him the budget where he can spend 80k on beats
so you make a song with your homie, and he's like 'yo my label cant do more than 40k' and you still ask for 80k? def not cool
if you're homies, take the 40k and a bigger percentage on the master, thats how it should be

best take ITT.
Nah. A top tier feature is 100k+, if you want a top tier producer on your song you should be paying somethin similar
This is very true

naw if you're my homie, consider me worthy enough to get paid the full price, like you do any stranger.

Oh you a housekeeper
go clean my toilet, I ain't gon pay you s*** but we came up together
naw if you're my homie, consider me worthy enough to get paid the full price, like you do any stranger.
bro artists dont pay for beats out of their pocket, labels give them an album budget and all of their expenses while recording the album have to come from that budget
if my homie has a limited budget where he can pay 40k for a beat, but i charge 80k for beats, better believe im giving him the beat for 40k because I know he really can't do more than that
anything else is being a trash friend

Eh, nah idk bout that. As a producer myself, I almost always charge for beats, but if its a good friend I never ask for payment. Put it this way, I really doubt that carti n uzi pay each other for fts, same way ion ask for nothing when working w friends.
Pierre n Trippie aren’t like homies from back in the day, they don’t rlly hang like Carti n Uzi do, so the whole “friendship” thing wasn’t really even there that much from the start. And if I’m remembering correctly, Pierre said he wouldn’t work w Trippie anymore after he gave 69 the Gummo beat. Pierre really cares abt his sound and aesthetic as an artist, and it seems like Trippie kinda doesn’t as much.

do they give you free verses? cause that situation is different, if they don't you getting screwed.

Mans obviously has an album or a single comin out soon

Well yea of course, we just working together

He didn’t steal the beat, Pi’erre sent the pack of beats to Trippie and Trippie gave one of them to 6ix9ine. Obviously it was only meant to go to Trippie so when it made it to 69 Pi’erre was upset but that was his own fault. I get there is a whole legal angle to it but because Pi’erre took such a hard stance against 69 he f***ed up a huge check for himself.
