This 6ix9ine vs Ariana beef got me thinking. Ariana is considered the biggest popstar in the world, but she has to actively go out and promote a song that will fall off from #1 immediately and off the charts probably in less than 20 weeks. Post on the other hand drops #1s consistently that stay on the charts for weeks. Circles set the record for longest top 10 and Better now was on the charts for like a year. His albums do numbers, everyone knows him, I assume he can sell out big venues. All of this with no controversy. Is he the biggest doing it?

I hate to say it, because Drake is a fav, but Post is definitely bigger.

It's getting close. On their current trajectory's Post will overtake him. They were tied for #1s as lead artist until Toosie.

Definitely Drake still. Mans can drop anything and it’ll be a hit. Weeknd can overtake that spot tho in a few albums if he keeps getting more and more mainstream success. Post Malone is super close but I feel he needs an album or two more to solidify that spot. Ed Sheeran also, dude can drop out of nowhere and book a f***ing stadium tour that everybody from 4 yr olds to 70 something yr old singer songwriter fans are down to go see. Yet artists like that just don’t have the cult status among their fans like hip hop entertainers

It’s close but he’s not there yet, which is impressive lol I always liked Post but never would’ve thought he would be this huge

Weeknd hit his ceiling with BBTM. After Hours had a huge push with bundles and still did BBTM numbers first week. Won't outsell it in the long run either, and I don't see him getting another number one from that album.
