The Weeknd is objectively not as big, Travis needs to prove that Astro wasn't a fluke.

That last album coasted off the hype from the one before it. She needs an organic hit or its over. Landscape has changed since 2015, streaming era wasnt in full swing yet.

Post consistently does more first week sales, will overtake Weeknds biggest in total sales eventually and has 4 number ones since 2017, Weeknd has 5 since 2015.

Weeknd hit his ceiling with BBTM. After Hours had a huge push with bundles and still did BBTM numbers first week. Won't outsell it in the long run either, and I don't see him getting another number one from that album.

Obviously not another track on that album that would be a #1 right now. I was surprised heartless even made that spot. But Blinding Lights was him in his hit pocket forsure, as long as he keeps hitting that 80s nostalgia and sucking in soccer moms’ ears, he’s gonna be up there

Explain to me why 21 had multiple massive hits and 25 only had 1? It wasn't as popular organically. Karens saw the 25 CD on the checkout line at target and said "OH ADELE" that's all that albums sales were.

I’d argue the numbers are still holding tf up tbh, albeit hurt. They’re still upwards of 75% pure sales, even tho the total number of albums bought it down forsure. But you can also argue that that is a result of society abandoning physicals, ridding new cars of CD players, etc. But forsure, streaming ultimately does not benefit them. I just don’t think it hurts them as bad as other genres
