theDonandOnlyno, what does it really prove for some artists? Jay's double album is patchy, he's a goat for projects like reasonable double, blueprint and black album which aren't double albums. Really, if he hadn't done a double album and had been more selective with that tracklist he might have had a better received project and be seen as even more a goat. So with some artists like Drake or Jay how did having a double album help their goat status?
It honestly doesn’t really matter,it’s just cool to have that under your belt I guess.

Most definitely,the double album is really dead. It only made total sense with CD’s,now artist can have triple,quadruple albums now just cause of so many songs smh.

idk if this is true for all fans but personally if someone wanted to do a double album i think i'd rather they released two albums back to back or with a few weeks/months between as part 1 and part 2 of the same album. Sort of like what Future did. Or what Kanye did in 2010-Good Fridays is almost a mini companion album to MBDTF

I think it’s a huge statement when an artist can make let’s say a 100 min long album and keep your attention almost all throughout with different sounds,subjects etc. I think producing a proper double album takes a huge team effort from the producers,engineers,mixers etc and it only works if the artist truly has something to say in his music.
