I don't think it was just that he was Shaggy's son, but that he was rapping about selling coke and doing d*** runs, only for people to find out that he was Shaggy's son. Which he tried to deny at first.

Honestly I ain't think much of him being into anime cause it's a lot of "hard" dudes from South Florida who cape for anime/manga these days around Robb's age.

Honestly if he didn't deny Shaggy being his pops I don't think anyone would really care, so I do think that did hurt him a bit. Kinda weird to deny though honestly. I mean s*** look at Lil Tracy for example. He's the son of Ishmael Butler and I don't doubt much of the s*** Tracy says he has done despite his pops being apart of Digable Planets in the 90s. Just cause you got famous parents doesn't mean you're not able to get involved in some s***. Especially when that parent is out touring and living in another country while you get sent to some public school in/near the hood. It's just kinda weird to use footage from when a dude was like...12 years old against him when his own pops speaks on their relationship and says it mostly dissolved by the time he was 14

Almost none of Robb’s recent s*** feels different than Robb s*** from 5 years ago (and almost none of it stands out as much as the cloud rap s*** from calendars or the SGP beats)

Idk how life woulda went if he stayed in the middle class gangsta sounding lane, but I don’t think he could be in a lower tier in hip hop than he is currently. Might as well stuck with it

All I can say to this is you may need to listen to Mollyworld again. That album doesn't sound like anything released on Calendars, Tha City, or Year of the Savage. Calendars 2 is probably the last project from him that sounds similar to those previous releases, but that was because that's what Robb was going for to please the fans of those projects.

This track is cloud rap, but you not finding anything like this on his first three projects

This Robb is different than pre 2016 Robb no doubt, but I could find this song formula in quite a few of his projects since then. Almost verbatim on the X tribute track from..clover field 3? It’s a re-used flow for him. I like the beat though

From my POV, the big things that make his current s*** (I liked NR2 and some songs from both Leaks) not as memorable is: 85% of the project is going to be those skittish double time flows! Which I like SOMEtimes (Kuban doll, Brain) but it’s too much
