Why is it so difficult for you to not care about something you wouldn’t even know if no one told you?

You would never even be able to tell on-foot if someone’s shoes were reps or not unless they were just a s*** tier rep. So why do you care?

Yes, I wouldn’t be able to care if I didn’t know. If I did know (which I do, since you are openly admitting it), I’d ask you like I just did. I’m simply interested in your motive for buying fakes. Unfortunately, you seem to be avoiding my question.

Well besides the fact they’re a different shape so it’s literally a different shoe?

All this stupid s*** being spewed

Someone liking something, buying a look alike that costs a fraction and provides the same purpose is not akin to a d*** addict settling for anything.

They simply found a deal (to them) and acted upon it lmao.

So their judgment is purely aesthetic and has nothing to do with assumedly high quantitative value of the unit?

bc all of yall all of the sudden became "design" fans and appreciators the second reps started getting more mainstream lol

Reps are a cheaper alternative, tf are you saying. And it's only with fashion ppl even make these dumb ass arguments.

If someone wants to go on a trip to Mexico, but chooses to be on a budget and goes with a budget airline that has $200 tickets instead of a top airline with $1000 tickets it's not an issue.

If someone wants to go to a nice restaurant and they wait til there's a special running with a 50% discount then go, it's not an issue.

Any logical person would applaud someone for still finding a way to enjoy something while not going outside their budget/affordability.

Yet with fashion if someone sees 2 sources selling a nearly identical item and one is $50 and the other is $500 then they choose the $50 with slightly less quality, 'they need to live within their means and stop trying to engage in something they can't normally afford'.

Not sure how some of you got so brainwashed into elitism/classism with fashion but lmao. You look like a fckn dunce telling people they shouldn't find happiness in something with their own budgeted version. We are doomed as a society if someone wearing a Yeezy rep is what makes you mad about our current world.

did y’all really like this false equivalency ass post up lmao

  • Sep 27, 2023

Ngl if I wore reps I wouldn’t be in here defending myself while also simultaneously saying who cares

    I haven’t avoided anything lmao

My motive was stated a million times. If I could go buy a pair of Lost & Found Chicago 1’s, or any other shoe I want, for the retail price Nike gives it I would never buy a pair of reps in my life. Hell, if I had a fair shot at getting them I wouldn’t even be mad but when the system is rigged against anyone that doesn’t have a bot and doesn’t live in a major city for in-store releases then the only option is never get any shoes that you like if they’re even a little hyped or pay resale.

I’ve literally bought MANY shoes for resale, I’ve spent tens of thousands of dollars on resale shoes, I’ve spent $900 for Off-White UNC 1’s and $500+ for OW Menta 97’s and Wotherspoon’s and a ton other OW and Jordan and Travis Scott releases. What the f*** did that get me? Nothing lol. Not a single thing different than if I would’ve bought a rep pair besides less money in bank account.

Economy s***, over inflation crazy, wealth disparity rising.

You got losers in here mad that someone poor was wearing fake Yeezys cause they paid 10x more for real ones that were suppose to give the impression they weren’t close to being as poor as that person.

No damn wonder it’s so easy for the poor to continue being poor while the rich get richer

literally nobody in here except maybe ghosting who is arguing against reps gives a f*** about yeezys lol.

the fact you need to buy a fake pair of shoes instead of an alternative shows your desire to give the impression of proximity to money/luxury more than anything else. put that money toward some roshes and an economics course if you're really bout fixing the wealth disparity

Im pretty sure reps hurt the economy first and foremost cause for one, their unofficial, imitation products using unrecorded materials, while possibly using unreported labor. Then two, these reps more then likely fund an unknown black market, unbeknownst to the economy your referring too,the money is going into peoples pockets without real records/regulations.

Not saying every company has Grade A business practice but,a rep buyer is worried about their pockets, not the economy, get it straight. Cause if your buying reps, you don't give a s*** about the economy

Buying retail comes with just as many unethical consequences as reps. This is how you know you just sound stupid as f*** at this point

fake wearers will use every excuse, whether it be consumerism, the economy, classism etc, to try to justify the fact that they fall victim to hype and want to portray an image related directly to all those issues.

A product which tries to pass itself off as if it were the original.

    Makes sense

So then what makes something an "original" ?

A product of which no duplicate exists at the time of its creation.

That’s why homages are originals too.
