if someone is passionate about a hobby, and they see people purchasing fakes or generally posturing out and about with high-class pieces (or just faking the funk) then ofc they’re going to be looking at it a sort of way, because fashion’s principles (or style, really) stem from things like authenticity and expression, buying reps of these designer brands is the antithesis of any of that because these niggas are trying to keep up with the hype and/or trends of the times, versus cultivating their own actual look or aesthetic
