chopstix and lies are absolutely horrendous
i can see why ppl don’t like chopstix but i’m not bothered by it
it’s kind of a weird song fr
Don’t like Lies though
He called CrasH Talk trash?
bruh he clowns that s*** like all his twitch followers do it too
s*** kind of hilarious
Hell no, y'all always do this when someone falls off. Just because they're not "on" no more does NOT mean they were never good in the first place.

Interesting. I don’t think CrasH Talk is that bad but it’s definitely his worst album and I hope he bounces back next time.
This guy fails compared to his peers in every category, he tried to straddle several lanes. Being a Jack of all trades but master of none.
He tried:
West coast street s*** - YG was killing him at this and MKL is levels above any Q project
“Artsy”/experimental rap - (I hate the term “art rap” but for the general population you know what type of time they’re on and what I mean when I say it ) Danny Brown was again just on a completely different level with this s***. Q could only dream of having a masterpiece like XXX
Backpacker s*** - you’re on the same label as S80 Kendrick, guy didn’t stand a chance
Pop rap - a little fish in a big pond when you have people like Drake, Rocky, Chainz, Kanye etc all being more popular and making better music
Schoolboy Q is the definition of mediocre. Some okay songs here and there but has always been the nephew of the bunch and for good reason
i can assure you that 2 chainz and drake were not making better stuff than schoolboy

idek when he would make another album tbh (except he did drop a single this year i didn’t listen to… im a trash fan bro)
but nah i generally like crash talk
Stop it.
1. YG has only two good projects out of his 9, and Blankface and Oxy were better than MKL.
2. Q never claimed to be nor did anything that was experimental, big reach here.
3. The oxymoron was Q gangbanging with a backpack rapper aesthetic. You can’t be both
4. What the f*** is pop rap
how are you not aware of what pop rap is? S***s basically been dominating the mainstream over the last decade

I don't know what that is. How would you explain what pop rap is that doesn't use the word "mainstream"?
Hell nah. Plus when he performs live it’s so f***in lit lol got old heads and the new gen rapping together.

it’s exactly what the name suggests. pop-leaning rap music
drake, kanye (most of the time), nicki, travis scott, roddy Ricch, wiz Khalifa, cardi b, migos, 2 chainz, post malone, young thug, etc..
couple decent songs, plenty of crap though

As we’re reaching the middle of 2022 with 10 years since the blow up of TDE, I start to feel as if Q is mid. For your reference I used to be a fan and play his music years ago, everything from HnC to BFLP. As of late, his music…just doesn’t do anything for me and honestly BFLP isn’t THAT much better than TrasH Talk. Imma run it down:
HnC: Lacks replay value in general, some really dope songs though and I really think the dark vibes he captured were perfect for that time
Oxymoron: most of this album sounds very dated on some 2013-14 s***, this def one of those albums where you had to be there at it’s release time. Oxymoron/Perscription, Break The Bank, and Blind Threats are still dope to this day, keep the rest
BFLP: I used to think this was the pinnacle Q album back then, but it’s just decent in my book. Production was nothing special in hindsight and his lyricism was aight
TrasH Talk: Dumpster fire of an album, his most mailed in work tbh. You can tell he was desperate to recreate the moment of Oxymoron and get the attention of normies again, but fell flat on its face.
Hopefully his next album will deliver but for the most part I moved on from him a while ago, at least after he released TrasH Talk. I think he’s one of the rappers where everyone and their mothers have stanned at some point, but then moved on.
Thanks for reading!
