That first album is one of my most listened to of all time, in grade school that + ready to die and limewire NWA singles was the introduction to rap for me

Its also just f***ing great, never liked The Love Below - just no interest in it, didn’t hit my ear right

But how is Aquemini in your bottom 3?

damn you really like Idlewild more than ATLiens and Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik?

ATLiens is close and of course the more classic impactful album but I’d rather listen to Morris Brown than most songs on there, Idlewild holds some nostalgia for me and it’s a lot of fun and unique. It kind of reminds me of Stankonia in a way

The debut just never clicked for me outside a few songs, I see the value but also think they didn’t truly become Kast yet, almost a false start type debut for me

But they all classic to me, I’m just speaking relatively within the best discography in hip hop

most say Aquemini is their best

Stankonia is amazing though

The downside to having seven albums that range from perfect to very good, something needs to fill up the bottom of the list- Stankonia and Sothern have heavy nostalgia for me, Atliens is unimpeachable and I like big boi more than 3k so Speakerboxx like a prequel to Sir Lucious Left Foot.

Aquemini is great, it’s an absolute barfest but its also a little too maudlin for my tastes at times and some of the beats turn me off

ATLiens the best one bro, banger after banger, no skips besides some of the weed carriers feats

I feel you, you definitely have an argument for it being the most cohesive front to back listen, but it’s too old school and New York for me to put it above the more creative ones
