yea its a personal top 5 lol
Kubrick Gave us the best Sci Fi movie of all time (is it even Sci Fi at this point?) Look how Ahead of his time he was.
Gave us a Horror Cult Movie
Political movies
Historical Movies
On and on Kurosawa is great but he is mostly known for his Samurai Medieval Masterpieces
Idk man Kurosawa gave us so many different classics. Of course you have all the great Samurai flicks, but even those are quite diverse. Ran and Throne of Blood are both shakespear adaptations. And outside his Samurai films, you have Rashomon, Ikiru, Red Beard, High and Low etc. And what about Dreams? Kurosawa gave us classic in all sorts of settings, while tackling complex human issues.
And i definitely feel that Scorcese is up for the GOAT conversation. One doesnt just make that many incredible pictures in a span of almost 50 years. Sure he had some misses, but thats gonna be inevitable with a filmography this big.
Also gotta give a shout out to Bresson, i dont think many mentioned him itt as the GOAT
FMJ>>>>>>
always wondered ab the circumstance surrounding his death.
6 days after the screening of 'eyes wide shut'
heard one theory once that in the original film when cruise walks in on that elite getting his d*** sucked, that it was supposed to be that same actor f***ing a child.

You could say the same with Pasolini and Salo being murdered right after the screening.
