this is true magic gets the edge on defense off size alone, but is that enough to offset curry on offense 🤔

Refer to what Easy said lol, and Magic is no slouch offensively when it came to scoring. Man almost averaged 20 a game despite being a pure point guard and second option scoring wise

    easy

Yes because he was also one of the best passers of all time, offense isn't strictly about shooting. Also if we're talking about careers Magic was way better in the postseason and had a longer peak (unless steph keeps playing like he is now for several more years, which is unlikely)

even including the passing curry has a greater offensive impact. at the end of the day spearheading an offense is about creating shots for yourself and for your teammmates and curry does that both as a good passer (not on magic level obv) but most notably with his gravity and offball movement. curry dominates the game without dominating the ball.

I did, I'm still taking curry as an offensive player with no second thought

I’d say so. People can say he’s a defensive liability but PG defence is kinda irrelevant these days

Why? Cause he can shoot the three well? That's all it takes to be put in the discussion of greatest PG of all time?

so you're taking prime CP3 over prime curry?

Over the hill CP3 led a G-League team to the playoffs last year. A prime Steph blew a 3-1 lead, got bailed out twice by KD, then led his team to the draft lottery, and might just do it again this year. While a over the hill CP3 is leading the Suns to second place in the West.

Do you even remember what a prime CP3 looked like? That was a Point God.

curry has lead teams to the playoffs multiple times, and also lead a team to a ring. do you think his career started in 2016?

he also dropped 33 in a half on CP3s head to eliminate him in 2019. plus the warriors are def making the playoffs this year, and were handily 6-7 seed before curry got injured

edit: and you said he lead them to the draft lottery last year when he was out for the season you people cant even be bothered to watch games huh

Played what the first 10-14 games, broke his hand, then sat the rest of the season. I've seen niggas break their hands before and come back the same season.

The nigga knew his team was ass and folded for the season. Was probably gonna do the same thing this season until people started to question his leadership. And we see his leadership takes his team to the 10th seed...amazing.

yeah it was the right decision too.

with curry on the court this season the warriors have the 13th best offense in the nba, with him off they have an offense worse than the 7 win bobcats. he single handedly put a godawful team in the west playoff race and you’re acting like that’s a failure

How if he’s lost all the head to heads that really mattered vs Steph in the playoffs

I'm not saying it's a failure. I'm literally saying CP3 took a garbage team to the 5th or 6th seed last year when everyone was saying he was washed. Steph is pretty much in the same situation (minus the washed bit) and he's only taking the team to 9th or 10th seed play-in position and they don't even look like they're gonna make it thru the play-in.

But somehow he's getting more MVP nods and gets called the best PG of all time, and apparently it's cool for him to sit the whole season cause the team is ass but if any other player did that they'd be ripped to shreds, as we have seen many times before...nah that s*** don't even make sense.

Y'all calling people casuals but y'all gassing up Steph for literally the bare minimum and tryna give him a pass for sitting an entire season cause his team sucked. What kinda corny s*** is this

Doesn't mean a thing. They still had a quality top 5-6 and were certainly more talented than this warriors team

they’re .500 in the west and again they’re a way worse team around steph than okc last year. they’re 28-22 in games steph actually plays, that would be in the mix for the 5th seed

who cares that he didn’t come back for the last couple weeks of a lost season I don’t get why you’re so hung up on that

you wouldn’t swap steph for cp3 don’t lie to yourself
