low cost of living doesn’t mean much if the wages are in the drain.

I rather have a high COL in a place with high wages, than have a low COL in a place with low wages.

Obviously both of those options sucks but it’s reality right now.

Optimally, you can live in a low COL place with a stay at home job that has a high wage. That would be a great life.
