The original Blade imo deserves a shout out though I know in a million years that movie wouldn't get recognition to that degree but it did set a precedent for amazing superhero movies that followed years later, and it wasnt sappy or watered down like a few of the movies later became. It was mature, violent, and entertaining.

But yeah I'd choose between maybe Spiderman 2 (Raimis) or The Dark Knight.

Man I frickin love the use of real stunt work and practical effects in the Dark Knight and only using cgi where absolutely necessary. That deserves praise as well

Blade 2 in particular to me is so superior to the self serious s*** people jerk off, s*** was dark & campy at the same time, great well motivated villain, cool clothes most influential CBM

GDT really did Blade 2 & Hellboy and no one talks about it

No film is perfect of course, but it’s the shinning example of what a superhero movie movie could be

I just loved the flare he brought to Blade, with the visuals, the camera work and framing, all of that. And the designing of the reapers too.
