They’re fun and all, but honestly the epitome mediocre.

If you don't expect to take the game seriously yeah.
Game is hilarious and fun tho.

I am really suprised to see that people liked this game, when they were coming out initially I wrote em off as s*** gta clones. I haven't really seen bad reviews from anyone outside of the gaming magazines back in the day. I'm ok with some mindless fun. Anyone remember that game on ps2 where you would roam around a mall just f***ing people up (similar type of game)?

yes for 2 and 3 forsure, not sure about how 1 holds up now and 4 goes all out crazy but if youre more into the over the top gameplay and just want some mindless fun 4 isnt that bad

Haven’t played the forst but the first two are a bit similar to GTA, just a more cartoonish take on while 3 and 4 takes it over the top with it. 2 and 3 is the best games in the series.

Mfs who don’t like 1 must not remember the revolutionary multiplayer. Create a gang with friends, have a gang lobby to hang out and voice chat in, ranked matches with various modes.

No idea why they didn’t continue that in later iterations

Saints Row 1 was ahead of its time being the GTA clone that had create a character, let you rob stores, fun story, etc. Saints Row 2 improved on everything from Saints Row 1 and imo is the highpoint of the series. Saints Row 3 was fun as hell, it strayed away from what made SR1 and 2 great but still a good game. SR$ is just whacky and a far departure from the series. Could have been dlc ffor SR3 too. With all of this being said the first 2 games aged pretty s*** imo. Got SR2 on steam and... ehhhh. But the series is still worth checking out
