I grew up drinking out the hose in the summer …the damage has already been done
Most people think they’re being safe drinking hormone disrupting microplastic water, but truthfully tap water is better for them. The optimal water experience is an RO system
A girl once told me about her friend who only drank bottled water all her life, then drank tap water a few times and ended up in hospital cause her body wasn't used to the bacteria in it
Had me thinking... what bacteria are we conditioning our immune system to handle and does conditioning =/= make it safe to consume in the long run...
Makes ya think
There should be no bacteria in tap water unless The local water treatment plan underdose on chlorine in which they’re required to send a boil water notice to the entire affected area. Other than that, the source of bacteria could only be coming from the piping leading into your house.
Chlorine completely inactivates 99.99% of harmful bacteria. The 00.01% is filtered via anthracite filter beds. Labs testing for harmful bacteria are performed several times a day per EPA regulation.
That person likely has another issue that they attributed to the water.

No tap water anywhere is safe to drink, every tap water has microplastics in it
This is true and PFAS have been a huge topic of discussion across the water treatment industry. The problem is it’s too expensive to filter out. The numbers are astronomical
it's safe sure but...
the air force base in town spilled 24mil gallons of jet fuel (more than the Valdez oil spill) near the aquifer that supplies the drinking water for my entire city
so I stay rockin with a reverse osmosis system
buying bottled water is not cost effective after a certain point. it makes sense in the short term but not long term. run the numbers.

Jesus Christ. And all that was tax payer money...

ye crazy how wasteful the US govt is. (and downright hateful towards its citizens tbfh)
but yeah take a look at APEC water systems. about 250 for an initial undersink system, and the replacement filters is about 100 a year, give or take. it was the best purchase I made in 2022 no question
the unit actually started leaking very slowly last week, one month after the free extended warranty ended. I sent an email and they asked for a picture of the leak plus a screenshot of the original order so I sent em that s***.
within 48hrs I got tracking info for the free replacement part. so I highly recommend their systems.
tap water
reverse osmosis filter water
the whole house systems is rich people s***, but the undersink systems is definitely affordable for a good chunk of people.
