    YES ABSOLUTELY

How is this even questionable? Based on everything he's done, who he is, what he brings to the stage and to the albums, yes 100%. I was just telling my mom today that Abel will be talked about loooong after we're all gone. He will be talked about along with MJ centuries from now!!

he’s not comparable to prince or MJ but he has like 5 #1s and possibly the biggest song ever as well as a classic album/mixtape

    So yea definitely

It's also not always about #1s to be honest. There are sooo many more variable like who they are and what they bring to music, please remember that. Taylor Swift and Ariana Grande may get hundreds of millions/billions of views on videos but that doesn't mean they're automatically legends for that. Taylor Swift will be forgotten and Ari will be talked about but Abel is a whole other league, man.

You don’t have to be done to be considered a legend

Ok if he stopped now you really think he’d be remembered along side the greats for decades to come? He got work to do!

  • Feb 9, 2021

Icon maybe. Def not legendary yet

What about Weeknd is timeless? Where is his thriller or purple rain? He's just a really talented artist with a lot of accomplishments but I wouldn't say he's legendary.

    Trilogy

Unfortunately he’s gonna have to top Trilogy. That’s not timeless music, groundbreaking sure but not timeless. D*** stories get old after awhile, Weeknd knew that and is part of the reason why he switched lanes I believe.

    Trilogy

Trilogy is great, but not timeless. Nor is it iconic like Purple Rain and Thriller are. And being iconic is what makes someone a legend vs a really really good artist.

Stop bringing those ppl up , forget about numbers . There has to be a global impact and presence that’s felt if you mention those 2. I haven’t seen anyone touch MJ level yet and it’s not going to happen because social media .

After his run how's that even a question?

After this past year, man, how's that even a. . .

Usher’s 04 run was legendary. Man was number one for half the year with 3 different songs, album did a milli first week. Yeah is one of those classic 2000’s singles alongside Hey Ya and In Da Club. His earlier output is still popular as well.

If he had handled the rest of his career following 04 better, it wouldn’t be a question.
