Yes. Streaming numbers have zero to do with ticket sales

So what do you think does? cause I don't really think The Weeknd has an insane amount of stans like artists like BTS/Beyonce/Taylor Swift etc

and he definitely doesn't have the family friendly appeal like those artists either

He does. Drake sold out the O2 for like 7 nights back 2 back.
He already said he prefers the soundscape of arenas.
He did MSG for what? 5 nights?

Theres different stadium sizes. Bey/jay were doing mid size stadiums like baseball parks

I don’t think so actually. Reason I’m saying this is I know for a fact they did back to back DC area dates at Fed Ex Field which is one of the largest NFL stadiums. Did like 40k or so for each which were sell outs for their ticket capacity

Acts do this normally. Like BTS sold out Rose Bowl (95k max) and their attendance was 50k. Which is still amazing

Edit: yeah they did football stadiums from what I see

MSG isn’t a stadium neither is the O2

If he doesn't fully sell out sell out then thats good so its not overly packed where you cant move or breathe

    Take My Breath! (away!)🤪🤪

  • I dont think he is. people dont really understand that magnitude that are stadiums. even selling out arenas multiple nights back to back doesnt mean its even profitable to do stadiums, much less, sell it out

Ed Sheeran did mostly Arenas though, not stadiums. The difference is 12k people vs 50k+

good point about Beyonce, although her tour with Jay Z did struggle a bit and they had to sell a lot of tickets for $10 in a few cities

My bad, thought Ed was doing stadiums in Europe

  • BTS are the only artists on earth who are fully selling out stadiums

  • Shoutout my korean kings

I didnt say they were. But anybody that can sell an arena in the same city for 5 nights can do a stadium date

You were not wrong. Ed sheeran is by FARRR the biggest touring act in the world. He sold out 70 stadium dates 2 months ago, some in minutes.

    Yes.

  • Jan 11, 2022

Yes as long as tickets are affordable. Problem is these reselling companies buy all the tickets and jack up the price so normal people can’t even afford them.

  • Yes now that he makes soccer mom music it's definitely possible
