The ad they're talking about says directly, "Every American deserves affordable healthcare"

    Every American

He talks about his son in the ad as a way to acknowledge his privilege of having healthcare and why he believes it should be extended to everyone.

Even the r/politics thread on this article ripped it to shreds for being a lie

uhm r/politics is a neoliberal hell hole lmfao

uhm r/politics is a neoliberal hell hole lmfao

r/politics 11 months ago was firmly pro-Bernie and pro-M4A. The 3rd and 4th highest upvoted posts about Biden are about how Bernie was beating him in the primary

They've shifted some since Biden became the nominee so they don't help Trump get elected, but as a whole they'd still prefer Bernie.

ah yes lmfao im sure a subreddit could help trump get re-elected.

but no, it has always largely been an anti-bernie subreddit. the only reason you think otherwise is because a lot of ppl from bernie's subreddits were there during primary season.

Isn’t the main argument against M4A that it would be too expensive and quality of care would go down/wait times increase?

This is essentially what he said though
Some people only had the existing healthcare system available to them so fixing it would mean they died in vain
Same argument some use for tuition free college/student debt cancelation
    Very disingenuous highly sus

TLDR we can’t start saving lives now bc it’s an insult to anyone who has already died

Find me one timestamp in this ad where that's said, let alone insinuated

health care is a right and necessity for all people!

The same government who f***ed up the pandemic response would run our healthcare?

Healthcare should be a right(free or super low cost) but I don’t trust our government to run it/put it together correctly

  • Aug 8, 2020

The only reason it’s not an inherent right is because it is a service being provided to you by another human being. You have an inherent right to receive healthcare, but you don’t have a right to it? You get what I’m saying?

I still think it’s f***ed how expensive s*** is in the US and how many people don’t have coverage. So something needs to be done about it. I just don’t know if universal is the answer. I mean at least not right now, the conversation will change drastically as AI and autonomous technology is innovated.

It’s not an inherent right because you don’t have a right to someone else’s service.

Please do not misconstrue this statement with me saying that nothing should be done about the global healthcare vacuum.

You not gon like my answer💀

You gotta understand that I’m not arguing for the idea of not doing anything about any of these problems. Quite the contrary.

But I don’t subscribe to the belief that we ought to call every humanitarian-need related crisis an issue of human rights violations because that’s just not what they are.

I’m not saying it’s a human rights violation, just trying to say that if u believe healthcare is not a inherent right because it relies on someone providing a service, how do you square that with education which operates on the same principle and is considered an inherent right throughout most of the world?

  • Aug 8, 2020

A public option like what countries like Australia have only works if it’s comprehensive and well funded by ALL thru taxes

In that case most people will still see it as more convenient for getting their primary care

What biden wants is a two tiered, castr system

The people w good jobs will have their gold plate system while the poorer folks will have a weaker system
