I think Kanye just really likes the idea of freedom

Goes along with the idea of being a slave
It’s a running theme at this point
Like, you can be locked up and imprisoned but they can’t take away your mental freedom

Y’all saying “metaphorical/mental jail” are the worst type of music fans I swear

He’s just saying he just got out of a break up and is in a wyling out state and might drive drunk or other reckless behavior and end up in jail, it’s about that moment in a break up where you give no f***s. Think bottle of Henny Ye saying “it’s over, f*** it, f*** everything I’m going off tonight”. Kanye is a direct artist for the most part, he’s not Kendrick and usually ain’t dealing in metaphors.
