Blu. But i think its a timing thing. Even though i know id enjoy his music
Sometimes i just need to the right headspace for some artists for whatever reason
I do not like Blu neither although I respect it
wtf
Mad boring to me and too soft spoken
Always respect tho he was one of the first if not thee first to break thru the new West's modern underground
And he can rap, but voice and delivery are the things I care about most
I do not like Blu neither although I respect it
i f*** with blu but he aint legendary
Jay Z. I like a lot of his songs and a few albums. But he's a nerd and raps like it, has no "it" factor to him and is a poor mans BIG.
That last part lmk you’re pushing a narrative
Jay Z for some reason. I do like Reasonable doubt but besides that I just cant get into his music. I think most of it has to do with his voice.
I could never get into Yelawolf at all or Hopsin
Do they obviously suck? Yes, but they were legends at the rural trailer parks where I grew up

Jay one of my fav Rappers but I do not like most of Black Album
I hate the way most of it is mixed or how most his vocals are laid/sound and like Kingdom Come there's like this gunk all over it
Idk when else I would get the chance to say that lmao
Expected more people to say Weezy
If it was during his peak he’d be every answer lol

Yeah I love Jay, Hard Knock Life was a super formative rap album for me, Throne Tour the best concert I've ever seen but I'm still not obsessed with some of his most acclaimed projects. Blueprint and Black Album great but not masterpieces imo.
Never could get into Eminem or Lil Wayne tbh
Crazy. S*** like this still unparalleled;

I love BP1
But I think the run of BP2, Black Album and Kingdom Come weird sound and feeling is from Rap going thru a transition phase of studio mixing getting replaced and upgraded and doing a hybrid of a***og and "early" digital mixing together in the mid 2000s before we went fully digital in the late 2000s
There's a few other mid 2000s Rap albums with that "gunk" and weirdness all over it too, n part of why the 2000s is my least fav Rap era outside of the 80s
Eazy e
Don’t like his voice or flow at all. Don’t get the hype behind that Dre diss and I think he was nowhere near Cube in NWA

The beat is so hard on the Dre diss
I don't care for his solo album that was right before NWA but that whole 187um EP is so crazy and so hard
Most of the people that say they don't like e40 are mostly talking about his 2010s s*** and never once peeped the classic era and when he was more "tamed"
E 40 is in my top 10 I’ve heard his entire discography
I’d say his 2010’s stuff is more accessible and less crazy than his 90’s work. His flow was ever more off the wall back then

Eh I'd say in the 2010s+ he's more about fun and "showing off"
While like on Major Way or My Ghetto Report Card it's not as "loose" if that makes sense, and I guess "random" (although I don't think it's random myself)
Hes also always been animated but I feel the 2010s+ it's more noticeable like IDFU
I personally don't mind it tho, and yeah he's always in my top 10 or top 20 depending on the week - and a hometown hero for me personally
Ice cube
Eminem (not counting relapse)
E-40
Jay Z
Wu Tang
Most 80's rappers
Only liking relapse is kinda wild. I feel like you have to be invested in the Eminem lore to enjoy that album
"kendrick lamar" although i dont consider him real life legendary but internet legendary forsure
