Jay one of my fav Rappers but I do not like most of Black Album
I hate the way most of it is mixed or how most his vocals are laid/sound and like Kingdom Come there's like this gunk all over it
Idk when else I would get the chance to say that lmao
I feel like the Volume albums have higher highs than Black Album despite also having lower lows.
Jay just seemed more in his element on A Week Ago, Imaginary Players, Rap Game, Where I'm From, So Ghetto, etc. than many of the best songs on Black Album.
In hindsight, Jay should've just had one singular album that combined the best tracks on the Volume series and it'd be on par with his best albums(RD, BP, TBA, 4:44).

Agreed
Vol 3 is actually one of my favs along with RD and BP1 n HM to AG
Vol 3 is just him and his most raw, grimey and hardest - felt like he let all chains off on that album and no deeper look, just Rapping and kicking it
Beats among the toughest too
Even with the few Amil verses (that get overblown about how many they are and how "bad" they are, imo) lol
Are you referring to his solo stuff or the Clipse too?
He’s a troll ignore him

Both to an extent.
Clipse lost to time, but solo stuff is just not that interesting to me besides Fear of God II, which was really good. The recent albums have stale production and I don’t hear him on beats that I find he’d suit well on.
I wouldn’t listen to Kojimbo either - I’m not a troll, just people don’t like it when you don’t like their favourite rappers on a forum, which is stupid because this is literally a music discussion board.
My most heinous awful Hip-Hop opinion is that Pac's voice doesn't really work for me
Truly heinous coz that's the best rap voice of all time
Nobody has ever sounded as charismatic as him (pause)

Yeah it's bad dude, I know I'm very much in the wrong here as far as you can be with an opinion, I might try and listen to nothing but Pac for a while because I know I'm missing out
Only liking relapse is kinda wild. I feel like you have to be invested in the Eminem lore to enjoy that album
Apparently not lol i just liked it, no lore nothing just playing it
Expected more people to say Weezy
feel like most of this board grew up on or around wayne, so you heard him some kinda way, even if it wasn't a full project
Biggie ion listen to fat niggas in my personal life so I can’t make exceptions it wouldn't be fair
I’m an equal opportunity fat shamer
