Did Travis intentionally seek out these deaths? Did he do nothing in the wake of those deaths to make sure such a thing wouldn’t happen again?

Kanye literally is going out and saying these on his own volition

I'm saying celebs have been through much worse controversies and still have careers. Of course all his controversies are self inflicted, if he does lose everything that's on him

  • Oct 10, 2022

Personally for me I’ll most likely continue somewhat being a fan.

This man quite literally changed my life at one point and I think it’s impossible for me to just ignore that.

I’ve never idolized Kanye West in the sense that I want to be like him or that he’s some genius who knows all, I always thought that was stupid.

But the way he became the biggest rapper, became e a fashion icon, became one of the greatest artist, and destroyed labels even when people took him as a joke.

His capability to keep believing in himself even when majority of people don’t is inspiring.

I dont think Travis Scott having lives lost at his concert because of bad conditions is worse than someone implicitly advancing nazism

But there's the thing, Twitter actually did him a favor by removing that post and muting him because he didn't even get to that part yet. If he gets back on Twitter and doubles down he's f***ed, but if he goes ghost like he typically does he'd probably be alright. Since he doesn't listen to people broker than him maybe Elon could talk some sense into him.

its unreasonable to place blame primarily on travis for the tragedy

it is reasonable to place blame primarily on kanye for supporting anti semitism, which i'm pretty sure has a much more violent connotation to it than the astrofest tragedy

People literally died at Travis Scott's concert due to negligence and he's still here.

    He's still where ?

If you noticed, Kanye didn’t touch on Ibn’s comments about yes men in his space now and not listening to people with less money than him once he became a billionaire, that’s very telling imo

Very true, someone else in another thread noted that that very line of thinking is classist which he always claims to be against. He definitely doesn't have anyone that will check him around him anymore.

nah it’s not unreasonable to blame trav that s*** called astrofest the danger he puts kids at his shows with those unsafe moshpits where he encourages injuries and s*** he deserves a lot of blame and the primary blame as it is in his name. if this happened with sza fair enough but the guy who calls his fans ragers nah he can hold it

Lol the festival is literally handled by livenation and the local venue, Travis just licenses his name. There’s kids at every major rap concert these days. This festival specifically had absolutely terrible preparation between the available medical staff, security, accessibility to the crowd, and crowd control barriers as a whole.

It’s all well documented and even then Travis was legally obligated to finish the show unless his handlers from livenation said otherwise, since it legally wasn’t his festival but livenations. LiveNation knew what was happening and forced him to finish, Travis possibly didn’t even know what was happening at all until after the show ended because information was withheld.

You think drake would’ve come out if he and Travis had known people died? Drake out of all artists with a reputation for PR ?

he also cultivated an ugly culture where he doesn’t do moshpits properly and constantly posts people injured thinking that’s how you mosh. i really fail to see blaming livenation when he hired them to do the festival and he still has to oversee s***. that nigga had no one above 27 die that’s the prime of someone life. he had a f***ing 10 year old. sure livenation gets blame but there’s a reason why other shows affected by covid didn’t have this many deaths due to crushing that were organised by livenation themselves.

Why hasn’t this happened at any other rap concert of similar nature (Uzi, carti, Trippie) other than the one where there was a notable lack of organization? Like the city of Houston specifically said there was a lack of proper organization for it

cos travis has uglier culture than those other rappers he makes his whole personality dmt and getting teeth knocked out in a moshpit. carti has pretty wild shows but he at least cancelled a few simply due to how awful his fans were acting pre show. trav saw all those niggas bashing in the gates before it started and they still continued. trav ad for astroworld fest had niggas knocking over s***. if trav ain’t the primary blame then he deserves at
least like 5% or some s***

Once again Travis didn’t have the contractual ability to end the festival
