Yeah it’s over. Atp we’re just basking in whatever it is we feel like they naturally offer. Nobody is expecting anything new.

At the same time I want these artists to continue to tour and make money forever. In this genre we tend to write people off when they stop innovating, but The Rolling Stones have been able to remain a staple for generations now, without changing a thing to their sound.

The artists also have to stop looking at music as a cash grab where they inject zero of their heart and emotions into, if we’re to still fw them for years to come. I mean sometimes I feel like Young Thug loathes his fans and only see them as a means to profit.

I think it’s a wrap for sustained greatness. still tho, these guys are so talented and skilled, they can’t help but make good music, it’s just not essential anymore and pretty formulaic and not inspired bc it’s not really in tune with their real lives. exact same with Drake too imo.

It’s Almost Dry and 2 Alive OUT NOW tho.

    WESLEY THE GREAT

I agree with this post. Future and Thug are not in their primes anymore but that doesn't mean they still aren't making music thats good. Not everything is so black and white.

If they arent innovating and are so formulatic then same can be said for that mid ass push album yall were d*** eating.

  • Future and Thug fell off but people go continue to pretend they didn’t

  • Apr 30, 2022

I just listen for one or two, maybe three songs that I will replay from their albums. 2014 - 2016 was both of their peaks

valid. that push album was good over all but it has a couple of skips, not touching daytona for me.

Push fans Gota accept anything they get. He been in the game way longer than future and thug but they have put out 10x as much good music as him

Future album is fire but to answer your question him, thug, Gunna, etc have been on autopilot for their entire careers tbh

As long as people keep consuming it they’re going to keep riding the wave

I can definitely imagine a time 10 years or so from now where it’ll be completely quiet for trap music tho

    S*** gotta evolve eventually

    Skrimps N Grits

No disrespect towards them but theyre everywhere now and on that same cookie cutter s***. Just tired of the same old collabs...

    Punk was cookie cutter?

  • Apr 30, 2022

X and pop smoke were supposed to push the new sound forward (mainstream wise) that’s why this generation feels so stretched out

I’m seeing way too much hate for the new future. He might need to take a break.

if futures album was ass id agree but it wasn’t

    thug however

feel like thug bout to come back way harder

  • Apr 30, 2022

Thug has only scratched the surface of what he can do honestly ☠️ that’s why the spell complacency sucks a bit, future probably has less room to grow as an artist but he’s consistent, so overall eh whatever lol

  • im very worried about Thug tbh, it's like he lost all his creativity.

Future is still Future. Always solid. It's not his best album but it's not bad. There's a few seriously good songs on the project so it's not like he has lost the magic touch

  • Apr 30, 2022

Future is a one trick pony but every time he releases am album you can expect at least one hard song.

  • Apr 30, 2022

When did they ever have different sounding projects? Niggas acting like they rapped about anything of substance before.
