By not doing it. By creating their own music instead of relying on the music of others. Hip hop producers cannot do that though.

There is no way for a big artist to sample a smaller artist and not take credit for it all.

But you're missing the point lol they're making new songs with already existing music, that's the beauty of it

Properly give credit to artists you sample, by not sampling them at all.

That's the point you thick c***. I have explained to you the issue with it, and how hip hop artists do take credit for music they did not create.

But do you not think it is an issue when hip hop producers appropriate music and people assume they created it? The nothin but a G thang baseline is universally associated with Dre. He had absolutely no part in creating it. Nobody has a f***ing clue who Leon Haywood is.

This is all over hip hop. Producers making their name off of the work of others. It is legal and fine if they are paying the original artist, but it is still lazy and poor form.

Art is art. Being influenced by a part of a song and choosing to use it on a beat is totally fine. Did you know that the opening riff to Stairway to Heaven was a sample from a song called Taurus by Spirit? People have been doing this long before hip hop was a thing.

You're singling out hip hop without doing the research. The first sampler came out in the 1940s. Reggae artists were sampling in the 1960s.

    No you didn't.

Your issue is literally that they aren't giving credit.

But they are giving credit, because they're paying for the sample.

And when I asked you how they can properly give credit, if compensating them isn't enough, you just say they shouldn't do it at all lmao.

Your argument doesn't make sense, you just hate sampling for some reason.

Their can be a lot of layers to this conversation, like what if the "American" in question is of that third world country's decent?

I'm not a producer whatsoever, I've never made a beat in my life. Further proving my point that you speak on things you know s*** about.

It's sampling if they get credit, if not then that's stealing and plagiarism it's hard out here for producer's he should know that better than any one

    It’s not

    It’s literally still sampling

They have to pay for the sample. They are not choosing to do so. It is required.

My argument is they shouldn't do it. I don't care if they pay for the sample. I don't want to hear s***ty samples you dirty slag. It is hackery. Dre is a hack. You are a hack.
