But we're in continuous conversations with them about it," State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller told reporters on Monday.

Miller also said that while the US "still supports" a ceasefire in Lebanon, "but at the same time, military pressure can at times enable diplomacy", appearing to support israel's attacks on Lebanon.

BEIRUT (AP) — The Israeli military says it has begun a “limited, localized” operation against Hezbollah targets in southern Lebanon.

It said it was carrying out “targeted ground raids” in villages close to the Israeli border. The targets, it said, pose an “immediate threat to Israeli communities in northern Israel.”
