the implication that the Baathist regime is any way a legitimate threat to Israel is very very funny.

Israel would rather have Bashar ruling the Golan borders than a freed self-determining Syria any day of the week.

your "free and self-determined" syrian movement is literally a puppet of the zionists and the turkish military

this salafi moron needs to be ignored, your bullshit is poisoning the well

@bejewelry is correct tho, you dipshits are truly the weakest link in the supposed "pro-palestine" chain. at least when white american liberal "sympathizers" kneel before the israelis its to be expected.

Remember that on KTT you're likely to find yourself talking to New York disapora who haven't stepped foot in an arab country since they were 7. These people are profoundly estranged from the way your average Arab envisions the world.

Absolutely no one here stands Assad's guts except for UAE-backed Counter-Revolution dogs or the 5 remaining communist ideologues.

Case in point all of the communist assad sympathizers are now getting cooked by the pro palestinian audience they've gotten after 10/7 because he is extremely hated among palestinians as well

Ideology has fried these people's brains man. The story of someone like Mazen Al Hamada alone is enough to dispel any Assadist propaganda, truly gut-wrenching stuff.

amazing how these fools do not ever respond when turko-zionist direct support for their "rebellion" is brought up or the mountain of evidence for war crimes committed by hayat tahrir al-sham

i am essentially an assad sympathizer but will admit that acting like his regime is just outright pro-palestinian is absolutely insane. the assad dynasty's relationship with palestine has been mixed at best. the baathism-palestine relationship comes more from saadam and iraqi baathism than syrian baathism and the two are barely related functionally

correct. the issue is that this user thinks his nato-zionist puppet jihadist pals are friends of the palestinian cause. this is why I'm laughing at him.

people who support the islamist groups in syria usually contradict themselves by also supporting s*** like Rojava and/or YPG/PKK simultaneously
imo harkens back to a very certain brand of politics that if you attach the word "self determination" or some variant of that people will support whatever the cause is no matter what

For r-words like Snowboy, the Arab world is blank on which to project ideological fantasies. They can't entertain the possibility that the Syrian people were inspired by their counterparts in Tunisia and Egypt and strived for ideals of liberty, dignity and self-determination. For them it just doesn't compute.

All they see is some convenient collusion of american-israeli-qatari-turkish interests into one grand conspiracy against their favorite sectarian butcher, nevermind the absurdity of such a coalition of non-likeminded governments.

they're just fascist groups which compete with one another because they have different goals: ISIS and Al-Qaeda wanted to attack the very structure of the syrian nation-state itself whereas YPJ fascists were more humble and just wanted to pillage the country's natural resources on behalf of the western oil companies. nothing really contradictory about it, both received logistical support from the imperialists at different times.
