Some news about the potential Ceasefire in Gaza that I keep reading about:

One of the key points in the negotiations is the release of Marwan Barghouthi. A very high ranking and popular Palestinian political leader. He was a leader in Fatah, and lead the first and second Palestinian intifada and was later imprisoned by Israel.

Apparently Israel wanted Marwan to be released outside the country, and this week there was news that Hamas agreed to to that and have him live in either Qatar or Turkey to move forward with the ceasefire deal.

Now, there is news that Netanyahu is once again trying to sabotage the deal and says he refuses to have Marwan released at all.

Marwan is a very popular (probably the most popular) palestinian leader. Israel is afraid that his release will affect the status quo and he'd be able to take over the Palestinain authority and form an alliance with Hamas.

Meanwhile Gazans have been hopeful all month regarding news of the Ceasefire. They want an end to the genocide. So hopefully Netanyahu fails this time and a ceasefire finally happens for their sake.

Another a bit similar note. Ahmad Al Sharaa (Al Jolani) whose the current leader in Syria rn did an interview in 2021 where he said he was radicalized by the Second Palestinian intifada when he was 18 yo and that's when he made the decisions to fulfill his duties to help a people fight off occupiers and invaders. (I know @Snowboy not gonna like this one )

So we see why Marwan Barghouthi is such an important figure in the region.

Israeli occupation invaded Kamal Adwan Hospital, the only functional hospital left in North Gaza. Bombing it and are forcing all the staff and wounded people inside to evacuate it.

Communication with the staff has been completely lost rn. They are about to massacre the hospital and do what they did with Al Shifa Hospital.

The ppl in the North of Gaza been resisting the complete ethnic cleansing of their land for 3 months now. No food, no water and complete annihilation. F*** Israel.

In the name of God, the most gracious, the most merciful

In victory for the oppressed Palestinian people and their fighters and in response to the American-British aggression against our country

The armed forces succeeded in thwarting an American-British attack on our country, as the aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman and a number of its destroyers were targeted, coinciding with the start of the aggressive attack on our country yesterday evening.

The operation was carried out with 8 cruise missiles and 17 drones. With the help of God almighty, the operation resulted in:

First: Shooting down an F-18 aircraft while the destroyers were trying to confront the Yemeni drones and missiles.

Second: Most of the enemy warplanes left Yemeni airspace for international waters in the Red Sea to defend the aircraft carrier while it was being targeted

Third: The failure of the hostile attack on Yemeni territory

Fourth: The withdrawal of the aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman after being targeted from its previous location towards the northern Red Sea, after being subjected to more than one attack by the missile force, naval forces, and the air force.

The Yemeni Armed Forces, while confirming their success in confronting and thwarting the American-British aggression, renew their emphasis on their readiness to confront any American-British-Israeli foolishness during the coming period.

It warns the Israeli and American enemy against aggression against Yemen and that the Yemeni armed forces will use their full right to defend Yemen and continue to support the Palestinian people until the aggression against Gaza stops and the siege is lifted.

Allah is sufficient for us, and He is the best Disposer of affairs. He is the best Master and the best Helper.
