He’s a good songwriter in that he can convey a message and has some genuinely powerful songs.
His writing itself is weak in its technical aspect. Very basic rhymes and flows. Song structure was also predictable.
He has good delivery like I said, strong energy.
He’s a legendary rapper don’t get me wrong and is top 5 greatest rappers ever but just isn’t a very good rapper lol

you dont have to be a technical rapper at the level of big pun to make classic songs and albums
plus even the best technical rappers with the most complex rhyme schemes were not on the level of tupac's honesty and songwriting

Actually go and look at the words rhymed is legit night and day. The internal rhyme scenes are just more interesting
And no not really. There’s a difference in being great and being the best.
Doom is one of the best rappers ever but he’s not a great rapper. Conversely Jay Z after RD and Pac are great rappers but really aren’t on the best rapper list.
