Yeah a rational poster to me is not someone who cares more about public perception than the actual movement Kanye is trying to make

    they aren't mutually exclusive dumbass

turning people away from your movement is never a good thing

no-one is mad at Ye's intent but the way he might be going about it is a little heavy handed and can be criticized. I agree with you on Ye's vision

Bro Kanye has always been heavy handed

Ain’t no rules to this s*** he can go about it however tf he wants if he’s championing and actually changing something for the better I stand behind it

You’re literally criticizing when a black man for trying to get his masters back and change the industry to stop exploring artists

Pretty safe to say you refuse to acknowledge when he says something agreeable

im criticizing it because hes making some really counter-productive choices to achieving that goal and I dont have faith that this isn't just a way of him promoting his album or whatever

on top of that you realize that its entirely possible for Kanye to get used as a pawn here? Trump already did it but what's to say labels dont use Kanye to be the face of them finding a whole new way to f*** artists over?

My point is only pussies would be turned away cause he’s not following the social rules that the oppressors establishes

& I don’t give a slick s*** about people who want to be coddled and never offended

Again bro you should just make a PR sxn since all you care about is how other people are gonna react to s***

calling out labels straight up doesnt solve the issue man

Kanye is literally still on a contract he hasn't done anything to change anything yet

I hope that he can and will but him tweeting like 40 times isn't tangible change

But he is criticizing major labels tho lol, he might not be calling for independence exactly but he is calling for reforms in how labels conduct which will affect future artist A LOT sure there is a hint of narcissism in there and probably not gonna get anything done but overall the message is good and aspiring artist can just see this and see the fight for ownership

Your tiny brain can’t even fathom that someone is brave enough to say what they’re going to do before they achieve it and then criticize just stfu and watch things unfold

You must hate Elon Musk too. You’re like wall street errrrrgh he missed his deadline while he’s literally pushing humanity into the direction of using solely renewable resources

Just cause it's not abolishment doesnt mean it's isnt good tho

Especially with a good reformation, can create a mutually beneficial relationship between artist and label can help a lot of careers

Yeah that's the thing it's highly unlikely, but it isnt a bad thing to champion and fight for only way I can see this happening is if new labels are built with better practices but even then the ones already in place have such a stronghold

    With all love to you

He’s seemingly abandoned the prison reform stuff. Sure he helped the first step act get passed but he’s barely mentioned it since then

He’s basically abandoned running for President

He’s abandoned multiple albums and projects

I’m sure I can pull up other stuff but that’s just in the last 2 years

I would LOVE to see him making a tangible change in the music industry towards empowerment. But him publicly tweeting about it before doing anything, being unable to get out of his contract, choosing to go through major labels instead of running his own thing and putting his own music at the center of it just doesn’t fill me with confidence

I just want to see tangible change from him that would make me incredibly happy
