Remember how Bush's approval ratings skyrocketed after 9/11? Trump had that opportunity, but he was too callous and stupid to manage an emergency properly.
And he will lose because of it. And it probably won't be all that close in the end, even if it gets dragged out for a while.

NevadaAll states where Trump lost by less than Gary Johnson’s vote total, minus Jill Stein’s vote total. 29 electoral votes there.
Colorado was just outside that by a fraction of a percent.
Gary also made the races a lot closer in the rust belt where Trump likely would have won by more points, considering most polls show Gary voters would have backed Trump far more than Clinton.
So, where Gary voters go in this election could decide the election. I can definitely see them going to Biden tbh
