Why do people keep trying to remove some of last fully human mediums?
Why do we need to make a machine play a violin? We have humans to do that masterfully. Like what’s the point of this?
People born in the 90s really lost
I’m too old for this s*** but still too young to function in society
It’s really over, life is a waste

Just to show that they can do it

Yeah this way of thinking will 100% lead to our downfall I’ve never been more certain of that

Yeah, most of these AI creations have no purpose other than showing off
Bean-counter nerds doing everything they can to make human achievement obsolete because they subscribed to the death cult of optimisation culture
i used to believe once that art would be the only thing surviving machine learning/AI just to witness it being one of the first things to get actually (potentially) replaced
like i know we’re at the start of it all and for now it’ll probably be used as a tool rather than a complete substitute but it’s honestly crazy

I think all of these smaller mundane tasks of AI beat making, meal serving, tutoring, art making, etc - are just small steps in the grandiose purpose of either battle mechs to fight our wars, or creating realistic humanoid companions, or probably both.

I see where you’re coming from but I gotta say, I think if anything moving forward this tech makes actual instrumentalist performances that much more valuable.
I see where the visual artists may have legitimate gripes but this will either evolve into a dope tool for future musicians or simply forgotten altogether.
Is it also higher rates in the arts?
i don't believe so, just higher rate of traumatic backgrounds
if you feel threatened by AI then I question if you’re a true artist in the first place
I really hope nothing bad nor permanent happens to the people behind s*** like this because I really enjoy these “advancements.”
AI-based production/mixing/mastering/songwriting etc has been around for a long time, people are only just learning about it.
