Why do people keep trying to remove some of last fully human mediums?
Why do we need to make a machine play a violin? We have humans to do that masterfully. Like what’s the point of this?
unironically tech nerds with no semblance of reality and humanity just trying to do whatever they want because they can
i dont think its a mistake that this stuff happens when the tech industry has a far higher % of autistic workers than other industries lol
Connecting or blaming this on autistic people is weirdo s***

Less money you have to split
These companies are penny pinching and it’s only gonna get worse with this AI bullshit
Destroy any human expression art and maximize profits
Connecting or blaming this on autistic people is weirdo s***
i'm not blaming autistic people i'm blaming people in tech who are autistic
We've got a solid five more years until the entire workforce is screwed.
Midjourney and ChatGPT really are showing us that humans are redundant now. What we do from here is crucial.

yeah if tech had no autistic people this wouldnt be happening right
like i said, weirdo s***

I mean…
Objectively if Musk wasn’t funding OpenAI this wouldn’t exist, so yeah basically

Thiel is funding it as well
AI is here. It’s not going away.
writing it off and not being open to its advantages is only gonna get your ass left behind
at the end of the day it’s another tool that’s going to advance the field
what was painting originally used for? to record historical moments exactly as they happened
then the camera was invented in the early 1800s and the profession of painting no longer relied on accurate photorealistic works of art
it was this invention of the camera that allowed artists to free their minds and truly dive into surrealism and abstraction with their paintings
AI will do the same for art, graphic design, music, ext. It will become a tool that will allow artists to experiment differently and advance their process
The only “artists” afraid of AI are those who’s skill set is more reliant on technical ability instead of creativity

And how does something like this positively impact me and my profession? I’m an instrumental music teacher who teaches people the technical skills in order to create music on their instrument.
You don’t get the creativity without the technical skills, especially in the arts.
Something that comes to mind is film scores. If something like this program becomes mainstream and common practice, why wouldn’t a film studio opt to use a program like this to score their film, as opposed to hiring a composer or an orchestra?
“More reliant on technical ability” lol how the f*** do you think those artists managed to reach such creative heights?
Exactly
im reading “the contrarian” right now, some rly scary stuff tbh
doesn’t care about anything but power and control, an techno-futurist aristocrat for the new age
somehow manages to make elon look like a reasonable guy

Mbdtf 2 and yeezus 2 gonna be crazy

it can rather put us in better use than wasting time on stupid bullshit tasks
Oh really lmao? You think this technology is gonna be free? It'll probably cost just as much if not more per beat. Everything that can be monetized will be
It will probably be a subscription model for like 10 a month, no way it’s gonna be as much as paying real people
it can rather put us in better use than wasting time on stupid bullshit tasks
Define stupid bullshit takes
This s*** is the least of our worries
AI will be likely able to do anything a human within 5-10 years. This is not an exaggeration. Entire industries will change soon. Once AI can do everything a human can do, we will only want human created art imo
Also if we don’t do it, someone else will. And they’ll have power no one else will, which is not great. It’s kind of inevitable

I kind of agree on the tech aspect with it being a tool. I only disagree on the initial training of ai scraping everyone's copyrighted works in order to train it without anyone's permission.
Also calling bullshit on technical ability because all of the famous masters can produce technical creative work as well.
