I only voted for him to get my student debt cancelled and he accomplished that.
And he gave me 1400 during the pandemic.

So it's more than any presidents done for me in my lifetime.

It's very easy to hate Biden. But he's doing some good things. Not gonna sit here and act like he's really the goat but he's actually helped me and my family in multiple ways. I honestly cant say that about anyone else.

i can understand the student debt part, but i don't understand the stimulus attribution to biden. that was a trump policy

edit: the re-structuring of college debt in light of COVID was a trump policy too - obviously not forgiveness, but the precursor to debt forgiveness of ESSER funds, payment/interest freezes, etc. was too

Precursor's are one thing, actual forgiveness is another.
Trump has been on record on how much he loves the poorly educated and none of them want this. We were not his base

100% he would not cancel this student debt for people educated enough not to give him votes

well i'm not really saying anything in defense of trump specifically, i'm just saying the policy attribution in general isn't that straightforward for a lot of stuff currently being attributed to biden specifically

presidents do a lot of s*** to keep the machinery running, u get me? In a time like COVID that might involve more legislation and "action", but don't forget that it's pretty much all just maintenance of the status quo.

Best things 2 come out of Brandon Era is Debt relief and marijuana charges being dropped, and both these r half assed. U can blame it on the republicans if u want but rlly not much has changed. Pretty much everything people took issue with during the Trump presidency is still the same.

This is such a stupid answer to be quite honest. Change doesn't occur overnight nor does it occur in a single term. Things take time and there has been a lot of good investment made in his presidency.

A lot of the policies and investment Biden has made will be more apparent in the coming years. Judge him on that not where it stands right now because things take time

    hey, my answer's not stupid.

Yes, change is slow. Yes, the effects of gov't policies tend to materialize some time after the policy itself is implemented. Maybe it's a year after, maybe 5 years after, maybe 10, and so on. Also, most of these policies are in the works for years before they're implemented, and again this can be a wide range. Notice how these time frames can often be longer than a presidential term?

The point here is that we assign undue significance to whoever's in office when talking politics. Really, most change has very little to do with the guy in the oval office and is primarily a function of all the other political machinery in play. Whoever happens to be in office when legislation gets passed is only a factor in the sense that they can choose to veto (which isn't even really their choice as much as it is their party's choice, nowadays)

Like I said, all the president's really supposed to do is keep that machinery running smoothly, push it along when it's not doing enough, and hold it back when it's doing too much. In other words, they're there to maintain the status quo.

in short, no, Biden hasn't been some spectacularly based president or anything, and no drastic change has happened (or been set in motion) under his term so far. All he's really done is just kept things running smoothly.

It's fair to give credit there, I mean not everyone can do that (i.e., Trump), but let's not get ahead of ourselves. Dude has been exactly what I expected he would be.
