Drake can not continue being number #1 while staying isolated and giving lackluster music as far as the masses are concerned. This next album release will decide if he has another legendary run in him or if he’s now just a legacy act living off his name. He needs to deliver soon before people stop caring and completely move on from him.

I think the quality of LP6 is very important to enhancing Drake's legacy, but I don't think it's as dramatic as you're making it

By ‘dominate’, you’re implying numbers which I most definitely think he will no doubt.

In terms of quality, he’s worked on this for a long time so the expectations are high.

Not to mention the delays further increasing expectations + coming off an album that was not greatly received (I personally enjoyed Scorpion a lot).

I would say the masses received 2020 very well. LNCL was the best received Drake single in a very long time

I don’t think LNCL was received all that well it was huge on radio but the video didn’t have that LEAD SINGLE IMPACT nor was it running off on streaming nor was it big in the “STREETS”. If it did have those things I think we have another single already they’ve obviously went back to the drawing board. It’s wasn’t a Gods Plan or Hotling Bling or One Dance

Disagree with some parts of this. Yeah he's gonna dip or fall off at some point but him getting 500mil plays on Spotify so early this year speaks to how strong he's still going. Maybe his future projects won't do at some point but I see him take a Beyonce type scenario where he still has a huge fanbase and puts up impressive numbers but doesn't get hits anymore.

LNCL literally was universally acclaimed and had chart success. Stop making threads like this even if the next Drake album isn’t “received well” by Critics (which is bound to happen because Music criticism has literally been driven by people’s opinions on the artist rather than their music DLDT is a prime example) it doesn’t matter and fans will still find songs they enjoy and love resulting in its dominance his haters will be up at midnight saying the intro is trash after one minute. It’s the same routine this isn’t a legacy album for him stop trying to make it one.

When I say dominate I mean in every way everybody’s acting like I don’t want him to win or that he fell off. I’m saying if drake is going to have another scorpion/views level run he can’t do this mysterious isolated roll out and the music not be the best it’s ever been. Not when a lot of these newer artists haven grown there fanbases and are way more interactive in all manners I’m sorry to say a lot of these newer artist have been way more interesting lately his story is getting boring.
