Those “New Artist” don’t even sell high and copy his formula every time tf. Most drop three singles in an attempt to sell high as well. They’re not even interactive they just seek attention and their stories are all boring as hell which is why none give an introspective track good enough to be remembered past a year

2015-2018 Drake is not debuting #2 behind WAP on weak charts. If his next lead single does the same as LNCL or less we’ll come back to this discussion because obviously if LNCL was as hot as everybody in here is making it out to be we’d have another single by now it’s been 6 months

Well if we’re going to keep using the pandemic as the reason why then Drake shouldn’t even think about releasing the album until next year right? Corona isn’t going anywhere this year.

I agree this rollout has not been ideal and maybe it’ll start to pick up.

Drizzy is also very interactive when you compare him to people like Kendrick and Cole. He’s just been quiet as of late and I assume we’ll get an explanation in an interview down the line. We as a fanbase always eat.

Also, I see all this talk about newer artists, what Lil Baby did in 2020, Drake has been doing for over a decade. He has such a tight grip over the mainstream and it’s not going anywhere soon.

All things constant, 2015-2018 Drake absolutely is debuting #2 behind WAP. It was a monstrous hit debuting with over 900+ points. Drake has never seen it, granted he easily could if he did all the little bundle, cashapp, and whatever else tricks many utilitize. His core fanbase, myself included, also is not about to mass buy anything. For perspective, Adele’s Hello came in with a whopping 1000+ points in 2015 blocking Hotline Bling from going #1.

That plus timing is why LNCL didn’t go #1. Think about it like this, if he cared enough all Drake had to do was wait a few weeks and it debuts number 1 with flying colors and sits there for consecutive weeks. Then according to your logic, we’re having a different conversation right now.

LNCL ended up outlasting WAP in top 10 and had a nice run in the top 5. But like at the end of the day who gives af, the most important questions are do you like the music or not? Is the music good or not? That’s all we can ask. And yes, hopefully we get a proper rollout when the pump faking stops and it’s GO time.

You do understand that song was heavily bundled and had a woman that was being supported by an entire movement right? He didn’t give it any promo but an instagram post and it was still more talked about and was the only artist in the top ten that ethically got there without bundling the song. Literally Hotline Bling and Fake Love debuted at number 2 so yes Drake 2015-2018 is debuting lower than WAP especially with the rules implemented what are you talking about
