When the mc is in some kind of maze and the bad guy talks to him and the mc can't place where the voice is coming from. Thats not how sound works b****

This an overused video game trope too, especially when they just taunt you over PA or radio.

when a character sees something abnormal happening, then gets interrupted by something else, then turns back to the abnormal thing he just saw and then, when its no longer there, just shakes himself and acts like nothing happened.. so pretty much every horror movie ever made

yeah fr, Lord and Miller were the only ones that could pull off that kinda stuff in 21/22 Jump St

Doesn’t really ruin a film, but I do roll my eyes a bit at the “This world is made up of two kinds/types of people...” speech

I am throughly sick of the “love interest walks in on the main character being seduced by another character, even though the main character isn’t interested in them at all, but the love interest misinterprets the situation and believes the main character is cheating” plot point though.

Not saying mark is wrong for that, it's just a boring and annoying cliché. Spiderman beat it to death no one else need to touch that storyline again.

extended scenes with ambiguous actions with no dialogue. because it's always critic bait from directors trying to be like stanley kubrick. I'm specifically talking about there will be blood

and i forgot the worst part. the same mf string/orchestra music played over n over again.

    • Main character looks like he'll die at the hands of the villain only to be saved by a friend who silently evaded everyone
    • Henchmen who miss every shot until they fatally wound the plucky side character with 20 mins left in the movie
    • The blue tint on scenes in Eastern Europe/Russia
    • Sepia tone when the scenes are in Mexico/Latin America
    • Casting 30 year olds in high school movies and then writing in s***scenes where it technically slides because the actors are adults but it's morally ambiguous given that they're sexualizing high schoolers

"You're out of your mind, we can't pull off a heist that big"
"It's our only chance and then we're out"

Bonus points if the first 15 minutes of the movie is a heist gone wrong where one of the members of the group gets killed during the action and they say "Did you see what happened to -bozo- last time?"

Ironic use of rap music esp in comedies with shots of white people doing s*** in slow motion.

Flashbacks about reminiscing about dead people, esp wife or children, involve soft focus pov shots of running through some grass or shots from under the bedsheets. Even Denis did that s*** in Arrival
