I've lived on 2-3 hour naps as a parent and it's not living, I'll tell you that. I was like that all last summer and it was hell.

It's OK for a day or two, but once it starts piling up, you might as well just not sleep at all and reset yourself.

Usually I need 6 hours straight through to function.

I can function well on 6 or 7 hours but I need at least one night a week of 8 hours. School is just too much for me to not get sleep at night. It's painful when you can't fall asleep knowing you should be sleeping as you are well prepared for that presentation or test the next day but your body refuses to sleep. I've been getting much better tho over the past 5 or 6 months.

Its essentially sleep deprivation. Even if you dont use any d****, after 3 days awake you see s*** in the shadows.

Crazy how important sleep is to maintaining our reality.

Happened to me like 2 weeks ago when I was watching too many conspiracy/unsolved mystery videos.

  • Jun 25, 2020

This will sound like a joke but I'm for real

    Have you tried reading books?

We live in times where people fall asleep with their smartphones and blue light isn't good for you

I see this with how I sleep

When I'm watching a new series and everyday in my bed I turn off the lights, watch an 1h ep, then check my phone and go to sleep and I wake up irritated around 7AM

When I ditch watching Netflix for couple days and go to bed, read 25 pages and immediately go to sleep I tend to sleep a lot longer and better

But your problems seems a lot tougher so this might not be enough

Also the only time in my life I really had nights where I'd go to sleep and wake up every hour was when I was going through a breakup with someone I was close with

So ask yourself Is there anything bothering you you should resolve that's stopping you from clearing your mind and having a good night sleep?
