Stupid f***ing question, but how are these numbers calculated nowadays?
Are they all iTunes sales? How do Spotify and Apple Music numbers fit in?
Just streaming from all platforms

Digital album sales. 10 single sales = 1 album. And minimum 1500 streams = 1 album, depending on the platform. Someone correct me if I'm wrong
Great points made @thegreatdivine though the project still sounds like a mixtape. No cohesive theme or consistent production like KOD, FHD, or 4YEO.
Doesn't really matter. Kanye could have called ye an EP and no one would have objected. Same with Pusha, Teyana Taylor and Nas with the 7-track albums they all dropped in 2018 but they all regard them as albums so they're albums. It's not so hard to understand.
"IT'S A MIXTAPE!!!"
Streaming is a lie though
Still don't know who came up with 1500 streams = 1 album sale
"IT'S A MIXTAPE!!!"
They going to ignore it for some reason though.
I don't get it lmfao.
Cole literally saying "this album took me years to make" and people want to argue that it's a mixtape for some reason.
Like there is no benefit to saying that lmfao.
Niggas is dumb as bricks.
"IT'S A MIXTAPE!!!"
Y'all the ones who can't read
Mixtapes don't exist anymore
He's not gonna come out and say my mixtape available on all platforms
Then it's not a mixtape

Way too high. An album doing 500 million streams in a week should equal 1 mil album sales tbh
Fam, he's also called it a mixtape. Drake never tweeted
"Stream my new mixtape, dark lane demo tapes" and yall call it a mixtape.

Ya need to chill. Conceptually and the way its structured it's a mixtape, and he called it such. But he changed it to an album. So it's an album
Cole literally saying "this album took me years to make" and people want to argue that it's a mixtape for some reason.

He said just know this been years in the making
If you watched the doc he's talking about The Fall Off for the most part
This is just something to hold people over
They going to ignore it for some reason though.
I don't get it lmfao.
They're probably doing that because it's projected to do less than they expected.
I'd understand if Cole had dropped some mixtapes/side projects since he started dropping albums but he hasn't lol. Literally every solo project he has released since Friday Night Lights have been albums. He himself refers to The Off-Season as an album but fans have their own ideas as to what the project really is, I guess.

find one single instance of him calling this a mixtape since he announced it a couple weeks back and you can burn this thread down and all of its inhabitants

Man, shut up, you dumb f***. It's an album. Pure and simple. Your point holds no water.

Nigga he says the ALBUM has been years in the making.
Why are you trying so hard to avoid saying it's an album. It's not life or death lmfao.
find one single instance of him calling this a mixtape since he announced it a couple weeks back and you can burn this thread down and all of its inhabitants
he's barely even talked about it. outside that tweet the only other real mentioning of it is in his documentary where he says off season had the same mindset as the warm up which was a mixtape.
Is it me or are the same people calling s*** both an album and a mixtape. Gotta be a major troll job with alts

Because of it's numbers. Lmao. That's why. Not like they're even bad or anything.

Fam, he calls it an album. You wanted me to show you where he said it's an album and I did.
Twice.
Leakers said it was an album after his freestyle and he didn't correct them either.
Just let it be lmao.

Yeah because niggas known to say
"nah its not an album. its a mixtape coming in 2 weeks"
In an era where all mixtapes are effectively commercial and no different than albums.
Fam, he calls it an album. You wanted me to show you where he said it's an album and I did.

This s*** is making me laugh. Lmaooooo. Niggas are really mad people are regarding The Off-Season as an album, which it is.

Don't EPs usually precede an LP to be released within the next few weeks/months?
