EVERYBODY has moments of self doubt. The greatest figures in any field of human endeavor all have moments when they feel less than. Some of the greatest athletes, musicians and businessmen/women have spoken on the times in the lives when they felt like they were inadequate. Even Drake admits to feeling like that sometimes. Cole just happens to be one of the few rappers not ashamed to admit stuff like that but trust that all your faves have felt that way at one point or another.

Halloween GangYes you’re right but I more meant he doesn’t transcend rap like drake and Kendrick. Cole is a giant but he’s not doing the kind of numbers or charting singles like drake and Kendrick - not that he’s necessarily tried to either.

He doesn’t have to, I’m not knocking him at all. I’m just saying that’s the difference between him and Drake and Kendrick. They’re all great. And Cole is fine with where he’s at. That’s what I was saying in my initial post - Cole’s bronze bar wasn’t indicative of him lacking confidence, he’s just self-aware, humble and realises the other two do s*** that he doesn’t, partially out of choice. (Hence Cole’s follow up line about being afraid of his luminosity - he hasn’t sought mega stardom).
