That's so wholesome. Seeing two artists without classics stick together like that is great. Kendrick and Kanye gotta link up now

Especially because he was in the light before Kendrick. Kendrick used to drop lines about how much bigger of a star Cole was than him. "J. Cole running late if he don't show up, think I can take his place? Ladies start laughing"

That was the first time they met too its been like that since the jump for Cole

I don't think it's inferiority complex. We all just imagine that our favorite rappers must be confident at all times but they're human beings at the end of the day and they go through a range of emotions. Cole has songs where he's talking his s*** and saying he's better than everybody with utomst confidence but he also has songs when he isn't sure of his place in the game. I appreciate that and I can relate to that. I'm a pretty confident person most of the time but there are moments when I'm not and that's simply the duality of being a human being. You go through a range of emotions every single day. It doesn't make you weak, it makes you human.

Some other rappers are only one thing all the time and that gets boring because you know they feel other things but they aren't confident enough to express it in their music because it goes against the image they've built.

To me, it feels like he sees all the chatter people have about the 3 of them and their place in the game and internalizes it a bit. He may also genuinely feel like they're above him in various ways. Either way, he has a right to feel/think whatever he wants when it comes to that. I don't think we should try to police that. I always appreciate honesty in people.

    Well said

Bro I’m legit almost in tears

I f***in loved this so much

    Drake the GOAT man

It always seems drake–Kendrick–Cole try to distance themselves cus of ego and wanting to be the best

But to see this and drake saying Cole is one of the best. Man this is beautiful

We need all 3 on a song before they’re past their prime man

All 3 way too talented to not make at least a couple songs together

Why do we need them on a song if there styles don't mesh? Poetic Justice was cool, Jodeci freestyle was cool but why do we need all three on a track?

Honestly, this is the type of energy hip hop needs to counter the divisive/hateful BS that's persistent.

I understand beefs and stan wars will always be part of hip hop but, sometimes, we just need moments like this to balance it out.

I'm not a fan of Cole's post FHD music much but I still got respect for him and his contributions.

As for the Big 3, it doesn't really matter much anymore. Go ahead and put Future, Travis, Kanye, or Lil Baby in it over Cole if that's what you prefer. Cole has already proven himself to have a sustainable career with a strong fanbase that allows him to sell out arenas.

Kendrick been on some hater energy s*** since control tho, and he came back this year after a long hiatus with more negative energy again

Nah. Kendrick isn't negative. Just competitive.

Negative would be beefing with rappers over petty s***, name dropping dead opps, making threats, and causing scenes, and s***.

Kendrick just keeps the competitive spirit alive in rap which is good. And Kendrick liked a tweet about Drake being Artist of the Decade iirc.
