I said it before, but his mixing strips a lot of energy from his music. He had the same mixer since his first album and I'm sure he tells him how to do the mix.

But when someone else in charge of the mix for the songs he features on or produce it sounds more "full".

Im not a stan lol i critiize him a lot as well as other members of the “big 3” bcus none of them are my personal top 3 more like top 10-15 but u cant deny he has a great rapping voice and on the cole songs i like i notice the mix is always great

his mixing feels like it’s a conservative who hates rap is behind the boards

Maybe not RECENTLY but his 2013-2017 music was plagued with horrible mixing.
