Maybe not RECENTLY but his 2013-2017 music was plagued with horrible mixing.
Eh idk, I think the quality of a mix is pretty subjective and is relative to what the artist is trying to do. I don’t think his mixing really took away from what he was doing even if it wasn’t the most polished

I'm not saying it's bad music. He's fire and incredibly ahead of his time. I just think that it wasn't mixed well and ruined some of his amazing songs.

a bad mix doesn't mean a dirty mix, it just means a mix that works against the music. s*** like slayworld and keef is full of distortion and clipping and that's the whole point, it works with the music. but if fiona apple mixed s*** like that it would actually suck ass
