Nah, Cole is such a notoriously boring ass artist. Frank Ocean down to earth, nobody ever call him boring. Kendrick neither. Doom. The list can go on.

Cole is just a boring artist, hasn’t sonically progressed in a decade whereas all of his peers have attempted to push boundaries.

tbc j cole is wild rich and has many fans so obviously there’s an audience but the s*** boring to me.

and i’m not saying it has to be guns and killing and b****es only. but gimme anger, jealousy, hope, despair, depression, elation, whatever and make it visceral. that’s what I like from music.

j cole doesn’t give me that and imo it’s harder for ppl who’ve achieved certain conventional standards of success to get there musically.

when I hear j cole I just hear a guy who decided he wanted to be a rapper bc it seemed more fun than being an accountant.
