Kind of a shame Jada had to spoil the surprise, wouldāve been a dope surprise drop
Too many people tryna get viral clips for their podcasts these days
unless he wanted jada to do it to get it out there but yeah u prolly right he jus doin it for the views wout really knowing
well now that the s*** is out
i wonder if the mixtape will be included in the fall off vinyl, if thats why its 4 discs?
I think itās either what you said, or the mixtape is the first or second disc of the album
If the mixtape was the second disc that would be underwhelming as f***
That wouldnāt be a real double disc in my eyes, just two projects released side by side
@twenty16vibes you mightāve cracked it

nah zero chance the fall off has other people instrumentals on it. cammon give cole that at least

I think itās what @twenty16vibes said
Similar to how the last 7 tracks of We Still Donāt Trust You are a mini-mixtape, I could see Cole doing something akin to that

why else would jada know if not for clearing it is my thinking? i mean i guess you could say he just wanted his blessing but idk
Because letās be real, a 90+ minute Cole album did not sound realistic at all lmao
I think the one album and one mixtape theory makes more sense

i would guess dropping it next weds (his bday)
a mixtape of him over other peoples s*** a week before is not that crazy. plenty of artists have done this
Plenty of artists have not done that in this age, but it would be dope
Plenty of artists have not done that in this age, but it would be dope
but if anyone would be doing this today it's100% cole
Imagine Cole sends a free mixtape to everyone that ordered a vinyl but it wont be on DSPs
That would be generational

Nah, I think Cole is too big a student of the game and hip hop to do that
7 extra tracks is just something tacked on the end. A real double disc has the same about to tracks on both discs give or take a track
Cole wannabe in there with biggie, pac, ugk, hov, nas, etc.
A second disc with 7 tracks is some of the moment s***, not timeless s***
If anything he drops a tape before the album
well that needs to drop this week or next
well that needs to drop this week or next
Itād make sense if heās not putting the single on streaming and not even announcing a track title for it. All details locked up until the album drops but yāall can eat with this tape in the meantime
J Cole threatens to release more music š

Yeah makes a lot of sense

He can still do a double disc and the mixtape. Hear me out.
A double disc album is usually under 90 minutes and 2LP. Thereās All Eyez On Me which is a 4LP, but itās also 2 hours long. I donāt think J. Cole is dropping a two hour album.
The Fall Off is confirmed to be a 4LP vinyl pressing.
Itās entirely possible for the first two discs to be the actual double disc album, and then the last two discs are the mixtape where heās rapping over other peopleās beats.

I donāt think he would do that, it would take away some of the moment from The Fall Off. Every time an artist drops two projects back-to-back in the streaming era, the second one generally performs worse

not if it's just a bunch of spittin over other people's beats. thats the type of stuff you say is dope and then move on because you want album and substance.

Idk dog, I could see Cole dropping a two hour project if he truly believes itās his last project and magnum opus
Plus idk about reusing other peopleās beats on be on your actual album. I know heās done it before with Deja Vu and what not but still. I think a separate tape is the move. If itās dedication style with him just barring out then itāll have a whole different feel than the album like Wayneās dedication vs Carter 2. I know those werenāt released on top of each other but theyāre distinct. I think long term the double album needs to be itās own thing or ten years from now Iāll have an asterisk next to it
