I yearn for an early 2000s pop rap ballad but I find the DMX interpolation so clunky. I think Drake did it slightly better.
need someone to ask Cole when The Let Out was made because it really does sound like it was inspired by Sinners lol
*Shitters
Yeah, this is his best album. There's no need to even overthink it anymore.
Cole knocked this one out of the park.

I wish I could feel this but it’s so underwhelming to me even if it’s not a bad album..possibly the most I’ve ever been disappointed by a cole album

Hit The Gas, if that part was longer maybe
I know I been hating for a few days but to sum up my thoughts in one post… It’s an ok album. The most souring aspect is the context of its release, he’s been planning this for years, I’m 100% sure he could’ve done WAYYY more than this artistically. Features, production, hooks, sequencing and all that.
He isn’t going out with a bang rn only cuz the 2 discs sound like he’s in his comfort zone. Homage after homage, almost no hook sounds original. From track 1 to 24 they all sound like a bunch of track 7s… And it’s crazy cuz that man used to know how to sequence his albums. I can’t single out a track as trash but it’s all so monotone and filler by Cole standards. Man hyped up the new reasonable doubt and dropped a mid big krit album. Even 4eva is a mighty long time sounds more like a legendary retirement album.
crazy cuz I been a huge fan of his and even his popularly shat on albums like KOD never left my rotation especially songs like The Cut Off and Brackets
I tried to put niggas on, but they was slow to go play
Bro, you the GOAT, they didn't know then, but bet they know it today
